Yes the prices are nice but if you can avoid buying china frames, do it, i had a really good advice from friends down in singapore, try going taiwan brand, quality is beter there...

I am not sure yet but i think i will stick to Monty

by the way, how are Koxx frame priced?

Neon and Bionic frames look good too but i wonder how is the quality?

So far Dyani's bionic is fine, but he isn't hardcore. Welds are quite good. We will know soon since some guys gor bionic frames as well. Mike of General Santos City does quite high drops so we will find out how good it is

I have just ordered all the parts for my bike except the frame! I will choose one when i go to BTS next week. Anyway, i think my heart is going for Bionic too.

i guess china brands arenot bad for starters like me... so it will do...

i think China brands are good for starters, they are cheaper and progressing riders tend to break the frame easily

replacing a frame will not be that costly as compared to expensive brands

As of now, only few appreciate it. only those into biking for years. It is simply because its new to the eye to the unexposed people, who sum up about 99.9% of the country. That's one of our objectives here, to promote and enjoy the sport. And it's good to have this forum, more people could learn and share from it as well as making friends and riding buddies.

Yes it could be very expensive, especially riding on places that needs commuting. you need a car in order to play. And of course the parts, most of it get's imported due to unavailability. occassional crashes and fucked up parts is very harmful on the budget for sure...LOL!

Yeah i agree that it is new to the people here. However, the numbers can be built up over the time.

I remember when i just started trials 8-9 years ago, the community was very small...everyone know one another. Things have changed so much now...more kids are getting into this sport

One thing that i can say for sure is the prices of bikes and parts have increased a lot over the years. At that point of time, the top range bike such as the Monty X-lite is going for SG$2500. Now, a Kamel is like SG$4500...almost a 100% increase but of course the parts and materials are better now.

I think the lack or even absence of proper trial bikes and parts in the Philippines hold most people from starting biketrial. The extremely high import duties and taxes could be another reason that stop people from bring in any trial products.

Anyway, lets just enjoy the sports!
