| Tried removing my cranks again with a realy quality crank removing tool from cycle opts... (park tools) like magic, it got off!! almost everyone thought it was imposible... hehehe... Was excited the whole day to install my new ZHI cranks and my Neon bashring thats been sitting in my cabinet for a few months now... I didnt know i still have a problem... the ffw wouldnt come off... F*%k!! almost everything i do wouldnt really work!! tried using a quality wrench and a combination of 4ft heavy metal for leverage, but my wrench broke into pieces!! that didnt work, so i tried using a cross wrench, the one you use for removing tire knots and still the combo of the long metal for leverage... it didnt work either... Puta!! I guess thats the only "major problem" for using a FFW or should i say the usual FW... "Removing it"... Only solution now is to get a new FW... I actually was planning to get a new one, but not at the moment... Being so excited the whole day, i just installed the old crank set again and just biked around... Hope you've learned something here... or if you have anymore solutions, just let me know... heres a pic... | |

| Did you try lubricants? Like WD40? It helps in removing tight bonding rusty metals. It might help. Just spray a little on the contact points. | |

| Hate to say it Benjo pero sabi ng friend ko, because of the leverage a crank exerts on a ffw, if you didn't put any anti-seize copper grease or equivalent, you WILL NOT be able to remove it unless you cut it off.
BUT, i'm sure even though yung mga Signaporeanos can't do it, pilipinos WILL find a way! hahaha!
Good Luck Benjo! Sana yung method ni Sir Oca works!

| di kumplikado benjo, simple lang. yung nut & bolt will serve as lock para kahit anung pihit mo di kakabyos ang ffw tool basta ganito ang gawin mo pagtuhog, bolt, washer, ffw tool, ffw, cranks, washer, last yung nut.
works very well for me, ganan lagi gawa ko, syonggal agad ang lola
mamaya picture-an ko nga

| eto pics ng sa aken, kunwari yung vicegrip ang cranks kasi wala ako sampol cranks. di gaano mahigpit ang nut at bolt ha, just enough to secure the sprocket tool para di kumabyos lastly, sa ganitong posisyon, ikalang mu ang dulo ng cranks w/ pedal (vicegrip in this case) sa gulong ng oto, then using a longer tube, ipasok sa katala saka birahin pababa mahalaga sa gulong ng oto kasi nagpi-flex yun ng konte, di masyado napu-pwersa ang komponents sana makatulong ito kapatid, lalu na sa ibang nahihirapan magkalas ng FFW | |
