PENALIZATION
1) Overpassing the time limit 5 p.

9) Leaning the handlebar on any part of the section e.g. the ground, tree, wall, etc. 1 p.
10) Leaning one’s hand on any part of the section, e.g. the ground, tree, wall, etc. 5 p.
11) Leaning any part of the body on the ground, except the feet. 5 p.
Other penalizations:

Re-crossing the start line with any part of the bike after the front
axle of the bike has crossed the start line of the section. (Refer to
Fig. 1) 5 p.
13) Going outside the boundary of the section with the bike in any manner is not allowed:
a. Overpassing the ribbon and contacting outside with the tire.
(One wheel flying over the ribbon without contacting the ground is allowed).

b. Two wheels flying over the ribbon.
(Refer to Fig. 3). 5 p.
c. Pushing or treading on the ribbon with the bike. 0 p.
d. Underpassing the vertical line of the ribbon with the wheel axle.
(Refer to Fig. 4). 5 p.
14) Both the front and rear wheel axles must pass between the color signs, the ribbon, and the stakes. 5 p.
15) If the front axle of the rider’s bike crosses between color signs which do not belong to the category of his own.
(Refer to Fig.5). 5 p.
16) Breaking a ribbon, pulling up or knocking down a stake.
(Knocking down color signs is allowed). 5 p.
17) One dab on the ground and the other foot crossing the center line of the bike frame. 5 p.
18) One foot on the pedal and the
other foot crossing the center line of the bike frame. The crossing
foot touching on any part of the section (e.g. the ground, tree, wall.
etc.) is not allowed.

19) After one dab, sliding the foot on the ground.
(Pivoting on the toes without gaining distance is allowed). 3 p.
20) The sections can not be modified by either the riders or any other person. 10 p.
21) Resting the pedal on any surface is allowed, however leaning with the toes or heels is not. 1 p.
22) Regarding objections or
complaints the Checker is only obliged to listen to the riders. Any
penalization will be set through the Event Director. 10 p.
23) Any use of bad language directed at the Observer.
(The penalization will be set through the Event Director). 0-50 p.
24) Losing the penalization card; The penalization card is the
only official medium to record the score in each section.
The penalization board is for reference. 10 p.
25) The rider can not receive any
help from his relatives or friends such as giving them the penalization
card, asking them to carry the bike by foot or car, or observing the
section while their bike is queuing. The riders from the Blue and White
color group will be allowed to receive the above mentioned help. 10-50
p.
26) No person (spectator, relative)
is allowed inside the section. Regarding the duties of the minder refer
to "Limitations of the minder" (Items to be noted [35] Art. 13
PENALIZATION). The penalization must be set through the Event Director.

28) Taking a short-cut. 10 p.
29) Escaping or skipping a section. 10 p.
Items to be noted.
30) The parts which determine the bike limits are as follows:
a. Frontal: Front wheel axle
b. Posterior: Rear wheel axle
c. Tires: Lateral sides
d. Contact: Between tire and the ground
31) The axle of front wheel will indicate the entry and the exit of a section.
32) The Observer will indicate the score to the riders by hand signals.
33) The rider must be equipped with long pants and a helmet, otherwise the Observer will not allow him/her to enter the section.
34) In the case of a dispute between
the Observer and the rider, the Observer will note it on the back of
the card. The final decision will be made by the Event Director.
35) Limitations of the minder:
a. The number of minders per rider is not set.
b. The minder (only one) should wear the bib (same number as the rider).
c. The minder who is wearing the bib can only enter the section in a situation where the rider is in danger.
