Let me guide you to the right path
Welcome to the forum bro...i-correct na din kita ha para sa TR-IA-LS not TR-AI-LS.
Alam ko si Pat minsan umuuwi jan sa Cavite. Di lang ako sure kung saan...
I would also recommend yung link ni Abe.
First thing you should know is what bike you want to ride. Mod (parang wheel size bmx 20") vs stock (wheel size parang MTB 26") thing. Pros and Cons but it should be discussed in another thread.
Since yung picture mo eh yung bike ni Shoti I wil assume na mod ang gusto mo so here are my suggestions:
frame: brand / price / geometry or size - Since mahirap mag hanap ng Onza Tmaster kasi ang alam ko ubos na siya sa market I would personally recommend a Zhi mod with magura mount paara you could use Vbrake or Magura. So far wala pang stock but if you could wait, I'll order one for you via BIKETRIALSPOT (online trials-specific store in the Philippines) please check its section.
fork: Bionic would be the cheapest. I will not recommend ordinary fork if you'll use trials specific frame, masisira ang geometry ng bike, mhihirapan ka mag progress.
rim(front): bmx rim will do (parang gamit ni David)
rim(rear): If makahanap ka ng 19" wide rim swak na yun (parang gamit ni Dyani at David)
tires(front): Maxxis Max daddy (dahil father's day) kung may creepy crawler yun na. 2.0" or 2.1" wide good na yun.
tires(rear): Alam ko may kinukuhaan sila Dyani ng gulong for rear...2.5" wide would be the best para sa likod
hub(front): bmx hub will do
hub(rear): will depend kung anong frame ang kukunin mo, at kung anong setup ang ilagay mo. I will recommend Zhi 116mm
stem: ito dapat trials specific kasi it will help you a lot...para din sa geo ng bike mo. Zhi 3d cnc the best. if medyo kapos sa budget Bionic, parang kay David
bars: should be 700mm-750mm wide. I prefer 720mm...Pwedeng riser or low rise or flat bar...gamit nila da bomb apache, too long for me though.
cranks: Will depend kung anong set up mo, gearing ratio and freewheel set up. Maganda ang 160mm Zhi/Bionic/Because/Worldcat. 162mm Neon pero depende nga sa setup mo.
chain: KMC cool chain...If mabigat hanap ka ng KMC SL...
seat: Trials bike have no seat
Brakes: Choosing the right brake is crucial. Iwill recommend XT Vbrake/Avid arc rival/HS33 for the rear and Avid arc rival for the front. Both with brake booster and trials specific brake pads.
If you prefer to have a front freewheel set up, you'll need the following:
1. Dead/fiz rear hub (could be spline/threaded)
2. Trials specific cranks
3. Cog (for threaded or splined hub)
4. Freewheel
If you prefer the conventional setup:
1. Free rear hub (atleast36 engagement)
2. ordinary mtb cranks with 22teeth and bashguard
3. Splined cog
But all will depend on your gearing ratio
please refer to this link for gearing ratio -
